ESRI and Partner Announcement from 22nd Annual ESRI International User Conference

ESRI User Conference, San Diego, July 9 - Below are some of the announcments made by ESRI and partners at the opening of the conference:

SAS, the market leader in business intelligence, and ESRI, the leader in geographic information system (GIS) software, today announced that they are creating an access product between the companys' software. In addition, SAS and ESRI will jointly explore industry-specific spatially enabled business solutions for targeted market segments.

Geographic Data Technology, Inc. (Lebanon, NH), a developer of premier map databases, today announced that ESRI will incorporate the company's Canadian data into its ArcLogistics Route and Geography Network products. GDT's street, address and postal information will provide the geographic foundation for the demographic products and services from ESRI's Business Information Solutions (BIS) group. GDT has teamed with the Montshire Museum (Norwich, VT) to create a 2,300-pound granite globe for the museum's new outdoor science park, scheduled to open July 13.

The City of Cleveland has selected ESRI to be the core software provider for the pilot of its citywide GIS implementation.

The city of Richardson, Texas, is deploying an integrated ArcGIS/document management system as its enterprise geographic information system (GIS) environment, automating and streamlining how it manages, disseminates, and uses information. Business partner GIS Technology, Inc. (GTI) is providing software and implementation services based on ESRI technology.

Tele Atlas North America, a worldwide leading provider of digital map data, announced that several major new customers and partners including Telcontar (location-based services), Sagent(business intelligence) and Pharos Science & Applications, Inc. (telematics) , Teletrac (fleet management), LandInfo (data provider) and DriverTech (fleet management).

DigitalGlobe, an imagery and information company, announced the availability of QuickBird Orthorectified, QuickBird Color (Pan-Sharpened) and QuickBird Two-Foot Imagery.

ESRI Business Information Solutions (ESRI BIS) launched its new 2002 Sourcebook·AmericaTM demographic data CD with ArcReader software at the 2002 ESRI International User Conference in San Diego, California, today. This new edition of Sourcebook·America merges ESRI BIS demographic data for every U.S. ZIP Code and county with ESRI's ArcReader map display technology.

3Dconnexion announced today that it has developed the ArcView plug-in for users of ESRI's GIS software. The new plug-in will enable ArcView users to take full advantage of 3Dconnexion's SpaceMouse and SpaceBall's unparalleled real-time 3D visualization and navigation features.

Safe Software Inc. announces that it has expanded its support for ESRI's ArcGIS. Using Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) technology within the ArcGIS framework, ArcGIS users can now directly import, export, and transform data without leaving the ArcGIS environment.

Telcordia Technologies, a pioneer in the development of the world's most advanced communications services, network technologies and Operations Support Systems (OSSs), today announced the latest release of Telcordia Network Engineer software, version 2.1. Supporting superior data flowthrough, the new version of the GIS-based communications network design, documentation, and maintenance application incorporates a comprehensive, tightly integrated inside plant management component.

Panasonic Computer Solutions Company provider of ruggedized portable computers, announced that its Toughbook 01 ruggedized handheld computer has now increased functionality with an optional GPS capability provided by Sokkia of Olathe, KS, the industry leader in global measurement systems.
